Innovative Stone Supports 9/11 First Responders

Innovative Stone, worldwide supplier and fabricator of natural stone and tile products, hosted elected officials and September 11th first responders to announce that the Library of Congress has agreed to accept more than 135 oral accounts of the 9/11 attacks into its permanent archives. New York State Representatives Peter King and Steve Israel gave the press conference at Innovative Stone’s New York headquarters.
Innovative Stone has been actively involved in support of the first responders and is eager to participate in the rebuilding of the World Trade Center. In addition to hosting the press conference, the company was recently a sponsor of “No Responder Left Behind,” a fundraising event benefitting the FealGood Foundation. Held on September 8, 2011 at the Water Mill Inn in Smithtown, New York, this event celebrated the champions of September 11th, 2001. The honorees of the evening included Senator Kristen Gillibrand, who was presented with the Champion Award, New York television station WPIX, and Deputy Chief Richard Alles who was presented with the Leadership Award.
The FealGood Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is both to spread awareness and educate the public about the catastrophic health effects of September 11th, 2001 on first responders, and also to provide assistance to relieve these heroes of the financial burdens placed on them over the last ten years.
